Alton S. "Al" Kircher (1910 – November 1, 2004)[1] was an American football, basketball, and baseball player and coach.

Kircher began his coaching career at Trout Creek (Michigan) High School in 1935 as the boys basketball coach. He maintained the position until the end of the 1937 season. During his time at Trout Creek he won two cage titles for the school.[2]
Kircher then return to his alma mater, Michigan State University, where, as a student, the Gladstone, Michigan native had lettered in baseball, basketball and football. He was an assistant coach in each of those sports there from 1939 to 1950, and was head basketball coach for 1949–50 season.[1]
Kircher then became the 20th head football coach at Washington State University and he held that position for four seasons, from 1952 until 1955.[3] His coaching record at Washington State was 13 wins, 25 losses, and 2 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 12th at Washington State in total wins and 26th at Washington State in winning percentage (.350).[4]
Kircher was inducted in the (Michigan) Upper Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame in 1985.[2]
